History of Rubik’s Cube

The custom Rubik cube was invented in 1974 by Erno Rubik 1974. He wanted to demonstrate a 3D model to his students and thus invented this cube. He called it the magic cube. After his invention, it took him a month to solve the cube himself. He then gave a license for it to be sold in 1980 internationally and thus its name changed from the magic cube to being called the Rubik cube. As soon as it was released it became very popular. People started using it for competitions and in games to see who will be able to solve it quickly. It then came out in various sizes and shapes and many improvements were made.
